    Colin has held governance responsibilities as Chair for both Primary Health and Social Service organisations. This involved amalgamation of organisations, development and regional launch of NZ Government's health strategy. He is a Trustee of the Manawatu Community Trust with responsibilities for the promotion and provision of housing for the elderly and disabled and promotion of health and wellbeing services for residents. Previously, General Manager with Westpac Financial Services involved the national retirement plan and unit trusts, included responsibility for product design, development, pricing, profitability, service, administration and accounting functions. Twenty years' experience with AMP in Australia included leadership of special projects associated with the identification, development and evaluation of potential markets throughout Australasia. Colin has extensive consulting and senior management experience has encompassed the social services, primary health and the finance industries. His governance responsibilities have included strategic planning, monitoring social service and delivery of primary health contracts for Government and District Health boards among others.

    Deputy Chair

    Dawn Standfield became a board member of Feros Care in November 2011. In a nursing career spanning 25 years she has worked closely with the aged, particularly in the areas of coronary care and cardiac rehabilitation. A significant achievement during this time was to initiate the establishment of the Lismore Base Hospital's Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Dawn has also worked voluntarily for Feros Care in Byron Bay Bangalow and the Brunswick Heads-Byron Bay branch of Meals on Wheels. She passionately believes healthy ageing is a realistic and attainable goal.

    Allen Lind


    Allen Lind brings extensive leadership and management skills to the board of Feros Care. His professional background includes senior management roles in the NSW Department of Education. He spent six years as principal of Alstonville High School and worked as an Inspector of Schools for the Gunnedah District. Through placing his own aging family members into care, Allen has gained insight into the importance of aged care, particularly the need for an emphasis on individuals and organisational structure. He believes government health policies will provide more opportunities for Feros Care.

    Stuart Garrett


    Stuart Garrett joined the Feros Care board in 1997. As a practicing solicitor and director of S&P Lawyers, Stuart Garrett has a particular interest in elder law and related aged care issues. He has worked as a sole practitioner partner and locum in a range of law firms and been involved in many community organisations, service clubs and voluntary bodies. He is highly regarded for his experience, enthusiasm and strategic view of the aged care industry, adapting his legal training and expertise with an active interest in understanding the priorities of aged care.

    Chief Executive Officer

    Feros Care’s dynamic CEO Jennene Buckley is passionate about aged care and is an innovative leader in the industry. She has worked in the health and aged care sector for 20 years including roles in business management, finance management and the past 13 years as the CEO of Feros Care, an organization which she has expanded from a single locality, residential provider to one of the fastest growing services on the Australian east coast, spanning 4 states. She is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company and for its 70+ aged and community care service programs. Jennene is also a Fellow to the Institute of Certified Practicing Accountants and has completed an Executive Leadership Program through the London Business School. She was a finalist in the 2008 Telstra Business Women of the Year Awards and apart from a two year stint in Ballina, has lived all her life in the Tweed, with her family and children studying and working in the area. Jennene has served on a number of industry and peak body committees the board of the Aged Care Services Associations NSW and ACT, is on the Aged Care Queensland Sustainability Committee and, as an accomplished, informed and engaging speaker, regularly attends state, national and international conferences.

    Jason Bingham


    Jason was appointed to the Feros Care board in April 2018. Jason has diverse experience spanning the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, having spent over 20 years in senior management and advisory roles in Australia and overseas. He has spent much of the past decade working with larger organisations, and their supply chains, introducing step change to the role and function of procurement and commercial services being key enablers of organisational success. Jason brings a wealth of skills and experience to the board, from strategic direction setting through to sustainable execution and corporate governance. He has a long-held interest in the human services sector, including ageing (and 'growing bold') and contemporary issues in the Australian context. In 2013, Jason was awarded a professional doctorate in business administration.

    Andrew Young


    Andrew Young was appointed to the board November 2019. His past experience as a board member of St Vincent's Private Hospital Lismore for over 18 years has exposed him to the aged and health sectors. Additionally, he has experience in commercial finance, investment strategies, commercial development and the management of a business in a growth industry which compliments the diverse experience offered by other board members.

    Michael Tennant was appointed to the board in December 2019. Michael is an Associate Partner with a global professional services firm. He advises clients in the health, human services, government and public sectors on strategy, governance, innovation, performance improvement, transformation, major projects and service delivery. Michael also has more than 20 years public sector experience, including more than 15 years at senior executive levels and more than 5 years at CEO level of government departments and corporations. He has been a board member of not-for- profit, for-profit and statutory organisations. Michael has worked in and around the health and human services sector for many years. He is passionate about 'growing bold' for all Australians. Michael's family have holidayed in Northern NSW for more than 30 years and his mother has been Growing Bold since retiring to live at Pottsville Beach.
